Leesburg Consulting is looking for a

SAS Administrator to:

 

– Install and maintain a variety of SAS modules and other software components on HPC Grid servers

– Configure, monitor, maintain and optimize use of SAS on Windows servers in the HPC environment

– Configure and administer SAS modules and tools such as SAS/Connect and SAS/Access, SAS Data Integration Studio, and SAS Enterprise Guide.

– Support and troubleshoot SAS queries run by Economics Department applications.

– Provide SAS support to users having a mix of SAS skill levels.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS

– 3+ years of SAS statistical programming experience or equivalent

– Broad understanding of SAS, especially in the context of large user communities with a mix of sophisticated and novice practitioners. Modules and tools within SAS including SAS Analytics Pro, SAS Connect, SAS/Access to OLE DB, SAS/Access to ODBC, SAS Share, SAS Secure, SAS ETS, SAS IML, SAS JMP, SAS Data Integration Studio, SAS Enterprise Guide and SAS EDI.

– Knowledge of other Statistical Applications such as Stata, Matlab, R, ArcGIS, and Mathematica

– Strong system administration skills, understanding of application security, performance and tuning

– Knowledge of change management procedures and version control.

– Ability to effectively communicate designs and decisions to peers, customers and management.

– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

– Translate business requirements into long-term data architecture solutions
– Understand data from both technical & business perspective
– Determine database structural requirements by analyzing client operations, applications, & programming; reviewing objectives with clients; evaluating current systems
– Apply data modeling techniques & standards to technology solutions

– Design conceptual, logical, physical data models & database transaction structures

– Define database functional capabilities, security, back-up & recovery specifications

– Document technology roadmaps & the transition from the current architecture to target architecture

– Lead a project team to implement the proposed data architecture

– Guide project team by conducting data model reviews & assisting in the design of new or modified ETL data processes using SSIS

– Mentor & develop junior & senior level developers to grow their skills & abilities

– Strive to implement best practices by establishing standard procedures, documentation, & checklists
